I am losing a little bit of coolant from my Elky. since I believe its the water pump I thought I would upgrade. Summit has an EMP STEWART FOR $175 BUT SKIP WHITE has a pump with a better warranty at least that's what it says for only $60 . Anyone on here ever used either of these?

skip white = made in china.... but they do have low prices.
not sure about the heart of cooling system - too much collateral damage if pump fails... ![]() |

I would go with something you KNOW has completely flat flanges that will mate up the engine block with no issues, and one you know has the highest quality impeller you can find. A blade that spins on a bushing will always wear out faster than a blade that spins on bearings. I purchased a $100 Weiand "twisted snout" water pump, turns out it's made in China but does have some of the upgrades to it and it works fine. Edelbrock makes a nice one that's alot more money.

You want to pay around 2$ a pound for water pumps.
There should be a button you can click on these parts sites that says " made in USA" , that deletes the junk from the screen.
