Default Tic-Toc-Tach

Looking for a Tic-Toc-Tach to fit an '78-'84 El Camino/Malibu/Monte Carlo, I think they're all the same. I've got the factory clock but would like to replace it with the Tach/Clock combo so I'd also need the blue plastic bracket that attaches it to the gauge cluster.

just incase
you decide you don't need a 36yr old clock, that probly needs fixin,
and might wind up costing more than a branew 8k tach for $109..

.
back in the olden days, if I wanted to know what time it was,,
I never looked at the clock in my car,, it was allways wrong...

All 78-85 tachs will fit... however the 78/79 tach does differ in appearance than the 80-85 tachs..

78/79 tach below...

and the 80-85 tach..

If you have the computer disconnected in an 84, will the tach work the same or do I need to replace something else. I've thought about replacing the filter that Mike's Monte's has listed but wasn't for sure. Mine has a stock type HEI with edlebrock carb. Nothing connected to computer.

the tach will still work without the ECM..
just plug the tach signal wire into the Tach connection
beside the 12v bat/power on the HEI Cap..
.
i'v had cars with and without the tach filter,
if the ignition is in good shape, you wont have a lot of noise..
