OK so this is a 1984 El Camino, SS project vehicle being rebuild by my now 16 year old son Thad. It belonged to a cousin, and he actually bought it at age 14 after the cousin died. We brought it home from the funeral. It currently had a V6,automatic. Suspension is all original. It needs some repair to the frame. He had bought an '82 base model previously, that the only thing holding the rear end in place was the driveshaft and the shocks. We spent last summer stripping it out. We will attempt to document the build as we go along.

It is currently in primer, and has a maroon interior. That was the day we first saw it, Not quite a barn find, but not far from it

This was the day we got it, we just loaded it onto the trailer and , yes backwards is not good, but we just took it a few mile down the road to my other cousins house, were we dinked with it and got it started. That is the face of a very happy kid!

Very cool. All projects are meant to be made better. That's a great deal for Thad, who gets the pleasure of learning and making it better.
