I have an 84 GMC with 200r4( I think) with lock-up that shifts from 1st to 3rd. When I shift manually, it only slips in 2nd. My question is will a 350c with lock-up work in this? I know all the bolts and drive shaft are the same, wondering if the lock-up wiring is the same. Thanks in advance.

Don't do that you'll really regret it. Fix your trans. You have the transmission that's the best for an El Camino. Besides that it takes as much work and extra money to convert to a 350 as a guy going 350 to 200-4R. You really won't be saving a lot of money. One other thing is you'll probably take a big hit in gas mileage. Your rear diff has a gear ratio set-up for overdrive. You motor will rev higher than an El Camino that came from the factory with a 350.
