Like one of the commenters said, if you split hairs it may be one of one. That aspect of uniqueness isn’t relevant to me (‘only one in Fathom Blue without stripes with blue interior without blah blah blah…’) but the fact that it’s an LS6 four speed in a pretty color IS relevant. Not $300k relevant to me but to someone else? I wouldn’t bet against it.

I wonder what the change in value will be as we go further toward a recession? Would like to think they will hold their value but with the economic changes coming are they still a good investment?

I bought mine to tinker with and drive. There are much better and safer ways to invest.😁

I agree with you Tom, but we didn't spend 300K for the vehicle. Just an assumption on my part, a vehicle in this price range is an investment and not a daily driver.

It's a beautiful El Camino, but I'll never be able to afford it. I want to continue to make my 78 better than it is now.
As fabulous as it looks , I think the buy it now price of $ 295,00 is a way bit much . I wish the seller good luck and hopefully he finds the right buyer . Not enough " uniqueness " , as Pbr400 said . Surely it is destined for someone`s collection or a museum as I don`t think the new owner would put it on the road very much ; especially , in regular traffic .

I remember several years ago an LS6 Chevelle convertible with race history and ‘as raced’ lettering on it want through an auction and brought a lot of money. The buyer was a young guy who’d made a lot of money I think in the T shirt business. He shocked the attendees by dropping the top and driving it home.
Edit: I found the story…

And it's been resold 2 or 3 times for a lot less. 🤑

How many years now have they not made them? And compare these to the POS look alike plastic built today. Recession proof imo.
It`s been about a month and wondering if the Camino has been sold and for what amount ?

Wow! Is this your car?
Well if your thinking the grey one is worth huge big bucks !!---Start by taking off those stupid looking wheels and tires !!! it looks like the 16 yr old kid down the street stuck them on to make it look cool !! NOT---The raked look takes me back to the 70's--at least the blue one has the correct 70 wheels on it !! Appears also a little more wear on the driver seat than I would expect to see on a 9K mileage car. Anyway just an opinion !!!
