I'm trying to make sure that the trailer I have lined up for the trip to Oklahoma to pick up my 68' will be adequate.

I did find that the approximate weight with the big block to be 3260 lbs., but I'm having trouble finding out the dimensions (length & width). If anyone has this handy, please let me know. I think I found the wheelbase to be 112", but not 100% certain.

Thanks in advance

If nobody else gets it before I go home from work, I'll look it up in my owners book for you. When are you leaving?

3rd generation length and width

The overall length of a 68 El Camino is 207.1 inches, width is 75.7 inches, overhang at the front is 37.5 inches, and rear is 53.6 inches. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for all the help here and via emails. The car hauler I'm renting is 20' long so it looks like I'm set. It's help like this that makes this site invaluable.

Can't wait to get my El Camino home and have some real fun. Anyone interested in a Torch Red 2002 Corvette Coupe 6 spd? hehehe :p
