I'm looking to replace an existing aluminum radiator in my 1966 El Camino 350 4 Spd. with a 4 row down flow: I'm running an electric fan. The mounting points are 10" apart vertically and 26" apart horizontally. If anyone has any recommendations based on your experience with an installation I'd greatly appreciate your input.

I definitely recommend aluminum two row radiators with 1.25 inch tubing in a cross-flow design. My aluminum radiator from Cold Case with two high wattage and well shrouded fans works well here in summertime Louisiana heat. Two rows lets fan cooling air through faster than four rows. And the 1.25 inch tubes have more exposed surface area.

I checked out "Cold Case" as you mentioned. Two rows with 1.25" tubes, direct fit and one specifically for a manual trans application. Price is reasonable. In one review someone stated Made in USA, but CC does say country of origin is China, perhaps the aluminum comes from China!

I'm running a Champion radiator made for G-Body replacement. It's only a 3 row but is rated for 800hp been working flawlessly here in the Texas summers!

I'm using the Champion also, zero issues. This is my second radiator, I put one in my 64 Pontiac a few years ago, it cooled a big, built up 462, zero issues.
I prefer to use the factory clutch fan. I set the fans for the most slip or in other words, least amount of air movement. I dont use a shroud, I like to have the free air flow through the radiator and engine bay.

I checked out the Champion radiators, of which non are offered in a non auto trans option. I'm not a fan of the squared off tanks either. What I like about the Cold Case radiators is the formed tanks like my current radiator has as well as the non auto trans option meaning no cooler line ports. I do appreciate your input as it gave me another option to check out...

I checked out their line up of radiators and based on my application it would run $1480.00, it's doable so I'll definitely consider it...thanks for the tip...

I think its all from China to keep the price lowest.

Rick
Hi Rick, this is the reply I recieved from Cold Case this morning: Our radiators use 3003 aluminum which is a spec'd aluminum. Country of origin can be from any where as long as it meets the spec. Proto-types are made at our facility in Pennsylvania but production is done over sea's

Check out DeWitt Aluminum radiators available in Aluminum or painted. I also got there brushless fan and shroud! There temperature sensor mounted in the radiator. Well designed radiator and brushless fan setup.
I even use there DeWitt antifreeze.

It keeps my 396 350 big block in my 1970 El Camino SS with factory air conditioning on point !

Its awesome to deal with a company in the USA 🇺🇸 and built right here.

I did message Dewitt through their website, my questions were; what spec. is their aluminum (3003 or 5052) also where are they actually assembled, manufactured, and/or made? I'll probably get a reply tomorrow. Entropy Radiators are 5052 aluminum thus the high cost. Just the radiator with no fan option for my application is $1100. which was more than I needed to spend. Dewitt is also expensive so I'm curious as to the aluminum they use...
