Saw an add for some bucket seats and the guy me they came out of a 78 El Camino. Can anyone confirm these are stock 5th gen seats?

Incase it isn't apparent I have a Bench seat right now that's why I'm not sure what the bucket seats are suppose to look like.

They may FIT into a 5th gen, but they don't look like they are STOCK 5th gen. No G body seats I've ever seen are bolstered like that, they look like Recaro Speacialist's maybe....

They look pretty close to Pontiac Fiero seats. I put a pair in my dads c3 vette and they look good and feel good!

I have an '81 with buckets - look very different than those. Could these be more for a custom, racer feel? they don't look stock to me. They look comfortable though.

Just a guess, but they look like 3rd gen Camaro/Firebird seats. Not a bad thing, and they should fit with a little extra work.

If any one was wondering I got the seats today $100. Now gotta get some mounts when the time is right. They were a little darker than pictured, which is great cause the interior of my Elky is Oxblood. Also got some rims for $100 and a bed mat for $40. Nice day if I do say so myself. :nanawrench:

Those seats do look comfy. Just in case anyone was looking for different types of bucket seats for their elkies, i grabbed a pair from an 84 1/2 Supra. Just the right color and power to boot. I made some frames from sq tubing and made them fit the stock bolt pattern. So i have just a little ricer in my car.. 2013-07-10 14.22.14.jpg

Those do look decent and comfortable. I'd say a Supra is a step up from the typical "ricer", at least they aren't from a civic.......:smileyb:

Nice job on the Supra seats. Your interior is the same color as my '86, and those seats looks to be a great match.

BTW, Kevin...nice haul on the parts. Think you did well!

Hey Glenn,
Yeah, the seats are a perfect color match. They are defiantly worth the $$ I paid for them.
Since I now have grandkids, I'm thinking about going back to 60/40 bench seats so I can tote the GKids around.

Mike, if that's what you do, let me know. I've got an original 60/40 with armrest, although it's a bit faded and it would be better with a new cover. Anyhow, if you pull those buckets let me know, maybe we can work something out. :bigups:

Guy had them in a storage unit. I think they will clean up pretty well though.

Those don't look like the typical rallye wheel. What did he say the come off of? I like them.
