Can anyone shed some light on what kind of J hook is correct for a 69 elcamino bumper jack. My understanding is that a jack from any 68-72 elcamino or wagon will work. But to be correct you have to have a 68 or 69 J hook. I know I’ll never use it but I want my interior to be complete and correct.

I don't know what difference there is, if any, between '68 and '69. Here's a pix of a '68.

FWIW.....Just a little "heads up" on my experience with my 70 SS El Camino....most of us like to use a larger tire/rim combo than what the factory installed. Installing a larger spare tire / wheel will result in having less room to slide the bench seat rearward. To gain a portion of this "loss" back, you can redrill the hole in the back wall mounted bracket up higher and regain a portion of your lost space utilizing the factory supplied parts. I know, many of us do not wish to drill new holes in our "treasured sheet metal", but.......
