76 = 1976
1 = division (Chevrolet)
AD = series (Malibu Classic)
80 = 2 Dr Classic Pickup delivery El Camino
D = Assembly plant (Doraville)
202353 = Production serial number
26N = trim number (Blue vinyl)
A65 = seat type code (Bench W/Arm Rest)
35L = Paint code Lower (Dark Blue Poly)
28r = Should be 28U ? = Paint code Upper (Light Blue Poly)
05A = build date (May 1st week)

The SS Models are mostly paint & Decals !!

202353 = Production serial number
This is the Fisher Body assigned unit number, it's not the production serial number of the car. The last 6 digits of the VIN is the production serial number.

First paint code color is roof and lower body, second is hood and center body.
