The 7th Annual All-GM Oktoberfest at the beautiful Silver Springs park in Ocala, Florida will be Saturday, October 6th 2012. For those wanting to make a weekend out of it, Friday activities include a cruise from Ocala to Cedar Key Friday morning plus NPD's 180 count car collection will be open for viewing. The Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing is about 10 miles south off I-75 if you need even more car stuff before heading home on Sunday.

The 6th annual show saw 621 cars and trucks enter the park for a sunny Saturday with temps in the low 80s. 50 cars joined us for the 4th annual Friday morning cruise from Ocala to Cedar Key.

2006 marked the first year NPD and Silver Springs were able to combine forces to host the inaugural All-GM Oktoberfest at Silver Springs, a nature theme park in Ocala, Florida. The inaugural event was a 1-day event, held Saturday, October 14th 2006, with 477 cars in attendance. Since that first show, we’ve experienced steady growth with everything from bone-stock to highly modified rides, classic and modern alike. Add in the attraction of having other things to do besides check out the cars, such as glass-bottom boats to check out the natural springs, a kids petting zoo, and more, and the show is second-to-none for great family fun. Check out www.silversprings.com for more on the park and all its attractions. We will also have several manufacturers in attendance to display their latest products and answer questions.

The first 500 vehicles to pre-register by September 29 will receive free entry into the park for car, driver and one passenger on Saturday. Any entry registering after that date, the day of show or beyond the free-car threshold may purchase the show package for their GM car or truck for $21.00, and that still includes passes into the park for car/truck, driver and one passenger on Saturday October 6th. PLEASE NOTE: If you are planning to attend but not show a car, you'll be subject to the standard park entrance fees ($31.99/general, $24.99 for children ages 3-10 as of January 1st 2012).

Registration is available for all GM models early or late, as well as all GM-powered street rods and exotics. Everything from bone stock to highly modified is welcome!

Also, be aware that this show is held inside the Silver Springs park. "Coming and going" with your car during show hours is neither practical nor allowed. Registration closes at 10 AM sharp, and awards will be presented at 4 PM. Don’t be late, as you will not be permitted to enter the park with your car after 10 AM.

High Performance Pontiac, Super Chevy, Chevy High Performance, Camaro Performers and Muscle Car Review magazines plan to be in attendance as well (feature cars have been "discovered" from this show in the past).

Friday activities:

We will host a cruise from the NPD headquarters in Ocala, Florida to Cedar Key Friday morning. The cruise will leave NPD between 9:30-9:45 AM. Cars begin assembling at 8 AM. Please arrive at NPD’s parking-lot fueled-up, and ready to go. Upon our return to NPD from Cedar Key (we typically have lunch on the water at Cedar Key), the opportunity to tour/browse NPD’s extensive private car and truck collection will be available (180 cars and trucks).

The registration form should be available by May, and will be up on our website as soon as it is completed (I will update when it is online and you are able to submit a form).

Shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Hope you join us this fall!

Thanks for the heads-up Derek.

I really enjoyed the show last year and the cruise to Cedar Key was great.

Not to mention the outstanding car museum, I liked the cars but my daughter fell in love with your camera collection.

Cedar Key is a very nice little town, worth the drive.

Unless there is some overwhelming reason you cannot attend , this is a show that should be on your lifetime " bucket list " ! Set in the beautiful Silver Springs Park , this show features some of the most beautiful , coolest vehicles around . This is a show that your lady and whole family will also enjoy . Instead of standing around an asphalt parking lot , huge Cypess Trees laden with Spanish Moss , alligators , birds , petting zoo and glassbottomed boats gliding over crystal clear natural springs await you . There have been numerous movies that have been filmed in the park including " the Creature From The Black Lagoon " . This is a perfect opportunity , particularily for those of you that live in northern Florida , to attend a great , well run event and see more El Camino type vehicles than you can shake a stick at . Soooo ; put out a can , start putting change into it , and start planning on attending ! :smileyb:

I was first member there last year, hoping to get some improvements done before next show. Heard somewhere that silver springs might be closing, hopefully that's bs.
Mentioned this on Derek's post on ls1 tech, Would be nice if they added some other kind of catagory such as best engineering award for those with a lot of nice custom touches not everybody has, but not as pristine as some of the restorations such as our El Chromeo. Just a thought . Looking forward to seeing everybody again.

Here's what getting there early looks like.:lookround:

Sorry to not respond sooner everyone; been hectic with catalog work.

can we register now?
Not yet; I will post up when the flyers are available online. A little off topic, but thanks for the video clip of me from the NMCA event. Definitely a close race...

WooHoo! My favorite show. :inlove: Is the flyer posted to register? Don't tease us if it isn't.
I'd get lynched if the flyer was available and I didn't mention it, believe me!

Jay, you are on my e-mail list. Look forward to seeing the group again this year! Can anyone stop Jay from claiming another glass mug?

Great to see such an early interest in this FABULIOUS show ! Derek Putnam of NPD and Jay will get us the info we want as it gets closer and is made available . Jay has for years taken the lead on this event for us , kept us informed and is in contact with Derek Putnam ; which , has helped make this show worthy of being on everyone`s car show " bucket list " ! To repeat myself , the Gainesville , Fl. show Steven is putting together for us along with this NPD Show is an excellent opportunity for those members in the more northern and western parts of Florida , Georgia and Alabama . Unless there is some overwhelming reason , don`t miss this show .

Have been following the flyer and Registration thing for a month and hoping Derek give us a head start. NPD and Derek have for 4 years given me the word and treated us like we have 200 cars. We will be in good shape once the Registration rush is over we have about 5 months for everyone to get the calendar clear for this excellent show. Stay tuned for up dates.
