I have a 1985 el camino. The 9 port vacuum switch for the heater control broke. Eklers can no longer get this part. Am I up a creek? Do I have to check junk yards for this part? Is there a way around this? Has this topic been covered before? Any help for this dilemma .

there was a 9port vacuum switch in the link, but they only had 1.


I guess Tyler got it??


that $75 for the whole bran new piece is a good price
with the vac switch at $40
and the 2 elec switches at $29 and $8..

do all 9 ports have lines hooked to them? recently picked up a car and am troubleshooting the HVAC system. as far as i can tell all the flapper doors are working but i do have one port without a line hooked up. not sure if thats a relief port or if its supposed to have a line attached.

add some details to your signature..

vacuum actuators,, vacuum pots, cans, motors
try some searches, most i'v seen are at CarID, OPGI or flee-bay..
.
might just have to find one close and make it fit, I see several for 3rdGens..
and there is a 2hose and a 1hose actuators..

the 2port is a little different, than just a push or pull actuator..
I think it would be a 3 position, or spring loaded to the middle..
defrost, dash vent or both..
.
test it, to be sure its not just a leaky control valve ..
.
if you pull it out, post up a good pic of the mount and pull rod side..
