what should the air temp be coming out the aie vents when the a/c is on

In the mid forties mine is about 42d and can only put mine on low it gets cold fast.:secret: Look under the hood where the heater hoses go into the box by the blower if its not sealed up all the air blows out of it. just turn the air on and feel if it's coming out of the heater core box. Also if your compressor clutch is kicking on and off you may be low on freon?

It varies by outside (ambient) temperature. Here's a chart from my 87 pontiac service manual. This applies to pontiac G bodies which share components with elkys and caballeros.
At 70*F 36-43*
At 80*F 36-43*
At 90*F 36-43*
At 100*F 42-48*
These are R12 temps. Not sure what R-134a would be. Usually doesn't get as cold as R-12.

Replacement blowers will likely do better than an old stock one. When I replaced mine, I got maybe 20% increase in flow. $20 at Autozone.
