I'm lookin for someone who knows how to install a shift improver kit? Anywhere around Phoenix, Az? I live in Apache Junction but am willing to drive an hour somewhere??

As well as doing minor things like replacing the kickdown cable/bracket

As a college student, its tough on the pockets i can do it but its taking me longer because i keep wondering "Is this the right part?" i'm currently low on funds, and i dont have the luxury of buying something just to find out it isnt exactly gonna work or fit on my car...

since i have both edelbrock manifold and carb, i cant take the factory bracket and make it fit...

currently the bracket for the throttle and kickdown is like bent out of place, the kickdown is only 50% functional because of how bent it is as well as bad cable

ofc i pay green cash :) right now i've been quoted $350 just for LABOR.. i am not exactly sure but i would think its a bit too steep

that is kinda high to just install a shift kit, it shouldnt be any more than 200.on a early car like yours i going to assume it has a non overdrive trans and those are fairly simple to do. the kits give you pretty good pictured instructions.but if your not comfortable dont do it.

There are aftermarket TV cable brackets that are bolted down with the driver's side carb. bolts. Olds Q-jet / 200-4R vehicles used a similar setup in the 80s. Go for one of those that works with your aftermarket carb.
