Fellow NECOA members, it's less than 90 days until the biggest and best Elky gathering in the US happens in Belton,TX on 5/26/12. In order to make things run as smoothly as possible, we are asking that you preregister. This will save you lots of time on Saturday morning. Why stand in line waiting to fill out a form when you could be shooting the breeze with your friends and cleaning the bugs off your Elky. Complete and return your registration form today! (Note: you only need to complete and return page one of the form. Page two is for your information only)

Question? I just filled out 1 form for 2 cars, is that O.K.?
Yes, that's fine. One form per person is OK. For anyone else doing so, just make sure you indicate the class you are entering for both Elkies. (Don't worry DDD, you did this & I got it)

The forms and donations are starting to trickle in. 9 weeks 'til the preregistration deadline, so there's plenty of time, but don't put it off too long. May 26th will get here quickly!:texas:

Registration Forms Sent out

This morning, I sent the following message out to Texas and her surrounding States:

Texas, 893 members
Region 6, 612 members
Region 12, 487 members
Region 14, 253 members

The message and Registration Form went to any members in those States who have been active at least one time in the last 4 years, or since 01/01/2008.

Ladies & Gentlemen, it's now less than 90 days until the largest gathering of El Camino/Sprint vehicles in the world - aside from at the GM factories back in the 60's and 70's, & 80's. Yes, I'm talking about Belton II. At the first Annual Belton event, we drew 74 Elkies to the small central Texas town, and everyone in attendance was very pleased with the Show and meeting.

This year promises to be better still, with a side trip to the local Little River Dragway following the daily events. I'm told there will be El Camino bracket racing, with the little blocks having challenged the BIG BLOCKS.

As was last year's, the Belton Show & Meeting is FREE. However, a donation of $10.00 or more would be GREATLY appreciated - and will allow the Region leadership to make the next year's Belton bigger and better than the current year. More and better door prizes are in the works, and it's your donations that pay for all this.

I've attached the Belton II Flyer and Registration Forms. Please register as early as possible. Remember, if this year has been somewhat hard, forget about the donation - we want YOU to be there! And don't fall into that trap of thinking you need a "Show Car" to attend. Forget about that one too! Bring what you have - we will be VERY Proud of whatever you bring - just as long as you are with it!.....................Ken Rogers

National Director, NECOA

Did anyone receive.....

Was the message received in the intended States? I ask because I did not receive a copy of the message myself. If just a few of you respond, I can figure that the program does not send an eMail to the originator. THANKS...................Ken

83ElkySS, the event is one day, May 26, although some people are staying over Friday to get an early start and/or staying Saturday so they can rest up before traveling home.

The drag strip fees (going from a foggy memory...DDD, please correct me if I'm wrong) last year were something like $10 per car for as many passes as you care to make. Donny will have to update us on what it is this year, if any different, as he is the one in charge of dealing with Little River Dragway.

Got your form 83, thanks! Yes, you can pay at the show, but since we are having most of the expenses to deal with prior to the show, it would be helpful if you could mail your donation if you don't do paypal. Ken's address is on the registration form. Look forward to seeing you there!
