im getting close to my automatic to 5 speed manual swap, got the trans and bellhousing, i need the flywheel, pressure plate, disk, im still torn between manual linkeage and hydraulic, but ,y problem now is seats.
ny elkie has the 60-40 bench seat, and the upholstery is in amazing shape, the seats are perfect. (re covered a few years ago) ive thought about trying to find a second driver side bucket and do away with the passenger side bench, find a pair of nice buckets in something else and make brackets to mount them, or go with some sort of racing aftermarket bucket seat.

so my question to ECC's greatest minds is this: what factory bucket seats are comfy, and look kinda good, without looking too raced out?

i know the SRT4 neon seats look kinda cool and arent too hard to find but theyre not very comfy, and i had a set of ford supercoupe seats, but theyre nearly impossible to find. as are the turbo tbird seats. Camaro and corvette seats arent too bad, but again, hard to find (and if you do find them, the owners want their weight in gold for them)

what else is there?

Im a fan of the 04-06 GTO seats.

Summit has a line of buckets that look good. I didnt think they would be comfortable but after sitting in a set in a 69 chevelle I liked them.

I have Corbeau A4s in my corvette and Corbeau CR-1s for my elky. Love the microsuede but They were 900 and 1100 respectively with brackets.

I got mine for free at the recycling center (they don't charge for cloth things) and made my own brackets for about 50 cents. I sold a 2nd pair of seats just like those for $125.

I WIN !!!

Thankyou guys for the responses and ideas. im actually leaning toward those gto seats. reading about them a little they sound like comfy seats, and look a little go fast for buckets. other than that, does anyone have or know of the driver side bucket for a 60-40 setup for sale?

If you can find pics, check out the interior in Red Regal T's Elky.

Beautiful is an understatement.

Finally got around to installing a set of beautifully restored G-body power seat tracks rigged to work for the passenger seat. Works great—now I just need to figure where the heck to mount the switch. Would have been easier if I was using my original buckets but looks like I might be able to tuck them into bottom of the seat hinge cover and make cutouts for the switches…
