The Midwest Chevelle and El Camino show next year in Tulsa OK is on June 21-23, 2013. It will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. I've been to the last two in 2006 and 2009 and they have been a great experience. Put this date on your future planning calendar. It is a 1000 point judged show. So, start sprucing up your El Caminos now.

Paul,

Do you know who is hosting/sponsoring this event? I do not remember seeing it mentioned by ACES or Team Chevelle. I would be interested in getting more information if you have a web site URL. Although Tulsa is a good half day drive from San Antonio, it may be worth it?

Thx, Fred

Fred, The Midwest Chevelle club is the main organizer and the Tulsa club is the local sponsor. I don't think they have any details available yet as they are busy with the show in Springfield MO this year. I'll post more details as I get them later this year or early next year. I plan to go. It's a good 4-5 hour drive from Dallas.

Latest Information

The information for the show is posted on the Mid-West Chevelle site.

http://www.midwestchevelles.com/mwshows/index.htm

If you go to their site, look at the 2009 Tulsa show for the photo of my 985 point class winner under the '71 link.

Make plans to attend. They will have more show details on their site as the time gets closer to June.

X2!
It's a long while off, BUT I would LOVE to make it to this show!
What does a 1000 point judged show mean? I've only been to small local shows, don't know if my ride would be good enough for something "BIG".
I'd like to go, though.
I'll keep and eye on this thread for further info.

Paul and everyone else,

It's confirmed that I will not be able to go. The boss will be on vacation at that time, so I will not be able to get away. Guess someone has to stay and herd all the cats.:dontknow:

After the Show

The Midwest Chevelle/El Camino show in Tulsa this last weekend at the Hard Rock Casino was very good. This was the location for the last show in 2009. There were over 80 vehicles there. I won First Place in the ’70-’72 El Camino Modified class. They will mail the 1000 point judging sheets and class award strips for our trophy plaques in a few weeks.

The hotel was very nice and the dinner cruise to the Ugly John’s Car Museum was fantastic. The show was in the covered garage on the 4th floor so the shade was welcome but the wind was still quite warm. It was a very well-run show with expert judging. There were more El Caminos there than at the last show. They will have pictures from the show on their web site soon.

There were people from Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. A great time was had by all. I enjoyed meeting a lot of nice people.

Driving thru Moore, OK was very difficult to look at with the severe storm damage on both sides of I-35.

Too bad nobody else from the Dallas group went. :poke:

Cool pics. Wish I could have gone. Never been to Tulsa. Bet it was loud in a parking garage when everyone fired up.

I Won

I just got the results from the Mid-West Chevelle and El Camino show in Tulsa. I won 1st place in the 1970-1972 El Camino Modified class with 982 points out of 1000. The rest of you really missed out on a great show. It won't be back in Tulsa for 3 years.
