ok so i put in bucket seats and am in the process of re doing my interior and i want a center console and i can find dimensions on an original so i decided i would make my own and i started sketching today and i think its good so far im going to model it out in cardboard tomorrow.

its fuzzy i know my camera hates me

i have a great cond "original" console,w/shift plate and breadbox if your interested.i also have the mounting brackets/braces:dontknowm me if interested.

You can always go with a later model console. Late 90's blazers work well, as do the 2004 Grand Prix console. I've used both. The blazer console works well if you are keeping a column shift, since they came in that version. The GP is floor shift only.

Found both on Ebay for less than $50 ea, including the shifter!.

do you know of any others?

I would think any G-body console would work. I have heard of Berlinetta Camaro consoles sort of fitting, but I haven't personally seen one. Not too easy to find, and I think they require some modification.

ok so i have everything modeled and and was originally thinking of bondo as my molding material however i got to thinking and i think im going to go with wood and just upholstery it. does any one know how thick of wood people make interior components with?

The GP console looks awesome !!
