Depends on where you get it and what type. They are basically the same, glue the cap to what ya got. Did mine a couple of weeks ago using a cap I got from the EC store. Came with instructions & glue. Had to trim & cut the old dash to get it out of the way of itself (baaaad shape).

I had a shop put mine in while it was there getting the paint and body restore done. They wanted to remove the windshield to do it but the windshield broke coming out due to the bad installation from previous owner. anyways it turned out pretty good.

I pulled my dash, took about an hour to get out, 2 to get back in, made it MUCH easier to clean up, paint, replace dash lights, etc. Trim off curled old dash, buy an extra tube of silcone, careful with the silcone around the exposed edges, will squeeze out.
Mine worked well, good luck,
