I am considering swapping my Muncie for a Doug Nah/Richmond 5 speed. Just wondering if anyone here has any expeience with this trans. It has a 1:1 final drive, but a real deep 3.38 first and the rest are close ratios. I know the installation is cake, requiring nothing more than a different clutch disc and driveshaft yoke and a new shifter.
Any critiques or comments on these transmissions would be appreciated.

Now that's a different approach. Most people are going to overdrive, but I'm guessing you are running a tall rear end and are happy with the freeway gearing, but want a better launch. What rear gears are you running?

I am running a 67 GTO rear with a 3.36 ratio. 255R70X15 tires bring the ratio down to about 3.00. It would be a nice addition to my ride. I don't need it, but it would be nice to have that 3.38 first gear!
