Gentlemen - I am hoping you can help me out. I purchased a rat rod that is already under construction. Make and model are irrelevant. Unfortunately, the person who was working on it passed away. I have been told by the spouse that she believes the front end is from an early 70's El Camino. I am trying to determine where the front end came from so I can establish the technical details (brake pads, etc.). It does have disc brakes. Is there any way to ascertain the donor vehicle? Any method to identify where the front end came from? (I an pretty sure it is GM due to the lug nut pattern). Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

welcome D
some pics may help,
I assume your talking about a front frame section??
older Camaro's were a used a lot, they were bolt in..
.
but now-days there is a kit for swaping just about anything to anything,,
as in brake rotors with different bolt patterns or disk brake swaps..
part numbers, casting numbers search may help lead somewhere..
