I'm wondering how he made the chrome moldings for it. keeps the sail panel in the right proportions

Maybe from a late 78' Ford Thunderbird???? this was the first thing i thought of on how he got that trim... then he tweaked it to make it fit or some other landau roof vehicle from the 70's Or... he is a very good fabricator

😄... too funny that i would mention that on a reply to you!
of course, mine wasn't nearly that nice. knocking rod, no muffler, old silver patina paint job, hubcaps, cloth roof, rear brake drum worn down at least 1/8" into the metal where the bare shoes contacted.....bought in '88 in Illinois while in college. played snowplow in the parking lots during the winter

Love them big body cars of the 60'and 70's! Speaking of snow plow...well maybe just the plow part. when i was in high School ...81'(11th grade)...show'in the age there :D. We had a snow day(in Arkansas).., so me, my cousin and best friend loaded up in my 67' C/10 and headed for the chevy dealership to see the new cars, pulling into the parking lot i was'nt able to stop and lightly plowed into a new Chevette. The garage mechanic came out and said, the back lot is better for playing. dont worry about it...it will buff out.

we rammed mine into the big 6ft piles created when they plowed the parking lots. just a bit of fun. the 2nd or 3rd time I pulled back I said "hey, what's that big piece of plastic lying there?" (didn't want to ram anything unmovable, like a fire hydrant) got out and looked then looked at where the grille was now gone and packed with snow in front of the radiator

Not much of a turnout today for Coffee & Cars at Bas tard's Canteen in Temecula - but there was one diehard '70 454 El Camino in sweet orange there in spite of the forecast of rain for the area. (Yes, I know, but it is Orange)

It sounded good leaving the show also ... '70 El Camino 454 leaving the Canteen
