I have this 305 engine that was given to me, by a friend that I gave a 283 to. Anyway, the code on the r/h front of the block is V1128FCU. Any of you code gurus know what year this is ?
Serial number ( I assume) below the code is CFF340300.

No clue what I'm going to do with the engine yet. It ran good when removed from my buddy's Chevy pickup. It has a "Voodoo" cam in it.
He replaced it with a 396 BBC.

I found this with a quick google search.

FCU - 1985 1/2 and 3/4 ton pickup truck 305 (5.0L) 150 HP and matched up to a manual trans RPO LE9 NOTE-This engine code only used this one year.
