Here is the quick version. On take off occasionally it acts like it is putting too much gas in so in turn it starts to die but then catches itself. Also occasionally it does the same thing running down the interstate. Really concerns you when it acts like you are going to die at 70 but catches itself. I thought it could be a fuel filter starting to plug up that is one thought. Other than that I suppose the carb could just need a rebuild. I am not sure kinda lost in this area obviously not a problem if it never dies but would be nice to have it not happen, any help is appreciated.

Does it die when pulling uphill? How long does it struggle before it resumes normal ops? Do you smell gas while driving? This is possibly an ignition problem.

No gas smell at all. Does not die going up hill have had small loads in the bed uphill and it does not do it. It struggles for about a second before it resumes maybe a little shorter or longer. I put in a new cap rotor plugs and wires about 10,000 ago if that makes a difference. :dontknow:
