Tried to connect my engine to my engine stand today, but could only fasten it with 3 bolts. Will 3 bolts be okay to hold the engine on the stand.

What size bolts should I use to mount the engine to the stand?

I think they were 3-inch with washers stacked. You can't get the exact size so washers are needed. In the picture the top straps are straight up and down and the bottoms are at the widest holes on the block.
