My 305 in my '84 is in a slow death spiral. Found a 1990 C4 engine with 700r4 trans including harness and computer with 78,000 miles on it. What kind of problems to drop this into the '84? Especially connecting to gauges like speedo, tach, etc. Seems like it would drop in without much modification except for trans mounting and drive shaft. Any thoughts?

I would do it in a heartbeat,, you will need the O2 sensor bungs welded in and close to the OEM positions, as far as the gauges get a C4 dash and out it in,, you will spend time on figuring the wiring out,, do it in my book, Matty man
