I did a V6 to V8 swap everything is done but at idle in traffic runs a little hot about 200, as I do not have a fan shroud. Don't know what to pull one from at the junk yard the V8 5.7L came from a 1989 GMC 1500 1/2 ton. already changed the radiator to a V8 Radiator. I have a 180 degree thermostat, I seen the chrome universal one that auto zone sells but, I don't like it. I rather find one from the junk yard but like I said I dont know what to pull it from. Help.:dontknow:

Any fan shroud from a g-body that has a chevy small block should work. I have a fan shroud from a '78 Grand Am that had a 301 Pontiac engine and it is ALOT different than a SBC shroud!.....FYI...!

A shroud is absolutely required for correct cooling.
Turbulent air can cause all kinds of problems.
Even with electric fans, the shroud direct air unobstructed to the engine.
Make sure you also have a working fan clutch.
The factory usually doesn't engineer items that aren't a necessity.
