Has anyone used faux(synthetic) teak decking in the bed? Worked well on the boat but it went down over flat fiberglass.
Plasdeck or dek-king material companies.

I have not seen the use of synthetic teak and interested to see it . My 59 has a wood deck that will need replace/repair at some point .

I can't remember who it was, but one of the 5th Gen's at the 60th had used some laminate hardwood flooring in his bed and made a spacer for the grooves. I wish I took a pic, hopefully that guy will respond with some pics. It looked really nice!

Sorry about your friend...

When you put the wood on your 59 floor-I assume you put down some sort of flat substrate first because of ribbed/accordion design. I'm sure you dont lift the floor when drying so you sealed very well to prevent H20 from getting under and rusting. I am still investigating the faux teak and other patterns. Manufacturer say should be glued down-no peel and stick, etc. I am worried again about the water getting under if not sealed 100%.
