put new hoses on front and rear, new wheel cyls. on back and shoes....back will bleed but neither front will....using vac. pump pass. front will not hold pressure, driver side will build up and stay....are calipers stuck? trying gravity bleeding right now...will check pretty soon.....Virg

Loosen the hose at the caliper and see if you get fluid there.

I read in one of the posts on here that gravity was broken! Maybe that's why.

Take the bleeder screw out and see if you can blow through it.

May be that the proportioning valve is stuck open?

I just went through the same thing recently when replacing the brake lines on my daily driver. I've never been happy with vacuum bleeding on disc brake calipers. It'll get you close, but nothing beats a pressure bleeder or the time-honored, two-person system. Get a helper, try it again and you may be pleasantly surprised.
