So my car didn't perform like I wanted it to in Belton due to it falling off at 4500 rpms from not getting enough gas. I race this car and get down on it a lot since its my daily driver but never has it acted like this. I rarely hit 4500 rpms on the street or just with everyday driving, but could a high volume fuel pump be the fix?
My engine can put out way more than what it is now,so any pointers are appreciated.

If you can SAFELY run a line into a container from the carb inlet you can check the volume output. A general rule of thumb is a pint in 20 seconds or less at idle. there should be enough fuel in the bowl to let it idle for those few seconds.
If it doesn't could be sock in tank, bad rubber or steel line to pump or just a bad pump as well as that hidden filter along the frame rail that is stopped up that the PO installed and you haven't found it yet. LOL. Eccentric on cam worn or push rod (rare).

i ran a 500 + hp 406 for over 10 years with the stock fuel system and a good pump. you have either a restriction or air leak somewhere in your system. gm sells a nice hv fuel pump that will feed all of the engine you can build.take the sock out of the tank and use a large inline filter ,replace all of the fuel lines with fuel injection hose .its heavier hose and wont colapse at high speeds like regular hose

...just remove the block of wood behind the gas peddle...:poke:
..check the fuel pump ( What 464ELKY saids)..or the float level, metering rods not working right or too big,not getting WOT,and so on.. Myself,I'd get an eletric fuel pump, put to the rear or closest to the tank,( its better to push the fuel, than to pull the fuel)and fuel pressure.(old skool is to stick your thumb over the end of the line, while some one cranks over the motor or a reomte starter button switch:CAUTION; make sure there is NO sparks and dissconect the Ing Coil wires,no power to the coils, NO SMOKING)..Thats the quick way,I think..:dontknow:
