Awesome thunderstorm in michigan's upper peninsula tonight. was having a smoke on the front porch enjoying the show, when i heard a PLINK. then another PLINK. by the third PLINK it finally registered what was goin on. HAIL STORM. i bolted for the backyard and threw open the garage doors like a man possessed. i had a couple old rugs in there and threw 'em on top of my cruck. i bet i've never moved so fast on a sunday hangover in my life. the dime sized hail turned to quarter sized and it got pretty crazy for a while, but those rugs saved the day.
gonna put the snowblower in the shed tomorrow and make some room in that garage so i can get the Camino in there if that happens again.

when it got done raining, i discovered my tailgate seals are WATER TIGHT, man.

i'm gonna fill up that bed and have a swim if it ever warms up around here.

Glad you were able to cover your Elky up! I have a couple of moving pads that I keep handy just for when we get hail as I don't have a garage. I've had to run out IN the hail a few times to cover mine up--and that stuff HURTS when it's coming down.
Your post reminded me of this:
