Am still hoping to have my 72 ready for Belton in April but it seems like I am taking 2 steps back for every step forward. All the suspension has been done front and rear with new Moog cargo coils and KYB shocks, boxed control arms, big sway bars and the wimpy 3.08 open end rear diff has been replaced with a 3.55 posi. Have started stripping trim in prep for body work . Still no rust except for inner fender under the battery box but it appears the drivers front fender was hit at some point and shody shadetree repairs were made. Will have to replace the fender with new Goodmark as well as the headlight fender extension which is not reproduced for Wagons & ELCaminos and is proving virtually impossible to find in usable condition. Have posted wanted ads on ECC and Team Chevelle in hopes of some leads.
Meanwhile the race to Belton X continues based on time and $ available.
