Anyone out there know what the material the Header Panel is made of on 84 Elky. I would like to modify another one, first one came out awesome until hit head on by a new Chevy 4x4. I would like to adhere to it with fiberglass, but am unsure if stock is fiberglass or SMC or something else. Any suggestions or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Jim, it is smc fiberglass. Traditional polyester resin & matt is ok, epoxy resin will have a better bond & shrink less. Finish with any good filler such as evercoat rage.

Thanks Guys! After the head-on (low speed, none the less , no frame damage), I built a new one, with a mold (80+ Hrs.), it is much better than the first one and an inch further out, the bumper was done, so I chopped 2 3/4" out of each side, like the look, sleaker, sexyer (Wife), and better looking.
