OLD Bear......you truly are the "SUPER MODERATOR"!!!!! Just emailed both......hopefully it works out. 😬🤞
Take a magnet with you to check for bondo.
Check bottoms of doors well for rust.

I don't remember if '71 doors have a different position for the door lock pull knob.
Good thinking brutha......will do for sure. Since you are in Ca. we will have to meet and great at some car show!
As a plan B, new door skins are available from Car and Truck Shop on Batavia St. in Orange, CA
68-72 el Camino door skin left side = P/N 70-09732
Geez, that's terrible.
The fender looks okay. Hope you get a replacement.
I hate to ask, but how did it open so far, if that's how it happened?
Good luck.
Thanks Mr.Boomer.......unfortunately a skin wont work in this situation because of how crumpled up the inner door is at the front edge of the door. It would be a mess to try to straighten it out for the outer skin to be attached.

I am embarrassed to say .... I left the door open and it unfortunately rolled back when I was out of it and distracted for a few moments. It rolled back into a huge bush bending back and hyper extending the door. I was horrified!!! It took out the bush too. But you are right the front fender was left in great shape except some chips on the edges so there was some saving grace. 😁

Yeah, I wasn't sure how the carcass fared. I'm also interested in how this happened. Did the hinge pillar get damaged?

Hey Mr.Boomer......you probably saw my post with the explanation to Suitcase. The great news it looks like the hinge pillar didn't get hurt or bent.....just the door sheet metal. It actually hit a huge bush and the branch's kinda gave way so the pillar looks straight. If it would of hit a solid pillar or wall it could have been another story. The bush didn't fair so well tho...LOL!
