Ive got a sbc 400 and I want to mount a 750 cfm holly. My buddy says it wont work because the cfm is to high. I say the 750 is a max and because its ran with a mfuel pump it should be fine. What do you think? THe 400 is stock with a fresh rebuild and maybe 600 miles on it.
Please help asap!!!

My opinion...

That depends on a lot of factors. That small block 400 is a really large displacment Small Block. If the haeds and intake are good then go for it. If you have some crummy old GM castings and that cast Iron Intake then it could be too much.

I try to match up those little beggers. Intake, Cam, heads and Carb. If you don't then you can put too much on it and hurt the overall performance and economy.
