My 1968 El Camino has a single wire to the temp sensor that completes the ground to light the factory high temp dash light. I have to replace this sensor with the 2 wire one to operate my aux electric fan controller (Derale #16749). I also have a separate temp gage.
I'd like the dash light to come on with the activation of the electric fan. Although the fan controller makes up the ground to operate the fan I'm afraid if I connect the light's ground wire to this, it may get current feedback if the fan is rolling in the wind.
I hate to abandon this dash light and I don't want to install a new indicator light for the electric fan.
Does anyone know how the dash light can be wired into the electric fan circut?
Thanks,
