So a friend sold me some hookers 2455-1hkr for a decent price, I know headers arent always a straight fit but I was curious if anyone knows the fitment on a 1969 el camino with a 396 in it,
Motor is a 396 out of a 67-68 Camaro (so I was told) so it's not the original motor has oval port cast heads from factory and its hooked up to a th400

I think the headers on my '70 402 when I got it were Blackjacks. It was close at the steering shaft.

According to summit they may fit, you may need to modify them. Let us know what you find out

Hookers are a love-hate relationship. I put a set of Super Comps on my BOSS 302 and after much "massaging" they fit pretty good. Then I drove it. WOW!, what a difference! granted, BOSS engines need all the breathing they can get, but any engine that flows can benefit. I just bought a set of their lower end comp headers, I'll let you know how it goes. I have a 350 with World 2.02/1.65 heads and a good Lunati cam, so it requires headers to work.
