I sadly want to let all the friends of Glenn , know that he is in Home Hospice . He has been struggling with health issues and is home with his family and friends . Glenn has been a very active member in our region and has provided us with his friendship , wit , entertainment and hospitality for so many years . Please keep Glenn and Mignon in your prayers and good thoughts .

Our prayers go out to Glenn & Mignon & family , we have missed them since Covid rearranged our car shows . They put on a great BBQ after Super Chevy show a couple times at their house & motel before that many times . Glenn & Mignon are some of our favorite people . God Bless their family . Amen.

Thoughts and prayers for both Glenn and Mignon.

2 of the best people I've ever met. Honored to call them friends.

I still have mine also.
One with Misty and one with Ginger for Sam.
And all the great times at the motel.

Got a nice email from Edonthebeach that Glenn just celebrated his 84 th birthday . Ed earlier sent a photo of Glenn wearing a waste can as a hat showing he still has his sense of humor . Glenn is known by a lot of his friends as the " Mayor Of Singer Island " . For years Glenn and Mignon owned a nice motel on Singer Island , Florida which is next to Palm Beach , Florida . I was told that after a hurricane passed by , a news agency was looking for some local knowledge/effects of the storm and Glenn became a T.V. star . For a number of years , he and the lovely Mignon opened there home to us for rooms and a BBQ for the many Super Chevy Shows we attended . Proud that Region 6 won 8 Best Club Participation Awards at the Super Chevy Shows as well as getting our region in Super Chevy Magazine with the help of Glenn , Mignon and 464elky .

Florida has lost one of it`s most loved , respected , accommodating and friendly members in the passing of " The Mayor Of Singer Island " . Glenn and the lovely Mignon have been active supporters for so many years , making it possible for so many of us to attend get togethers , cook outs at their home and encouraging other to come out and have fun with us . Glenn was rightly proud of his efforts in rebuilding his " Texas Edition " Camino . The last time I saw Glenn was at a Hot Cars And Chili Cookoff Show . We had a running joke that I would scold him for having such a wimpy and quiet exhaust behind that 383 stroker motor . He would welcome the ribbing , smile and flip the switch on his electric exhaust system to entertain others at the gathering . As the old cowboy song goes , " happy trails to you , until we meet again " .

The 1st time I met Glenn and Mignon was at a Beach Blast in Cocoa Beach - I'm not certain but I think it was '08 or '09. I was just going in for breakfast and stopped to chat with them a minute or two...ended up sitting for 45min or an hours listening to him provide laughs and chuckles. Turns out every time I saw him it was like that, laughs and chuckles, even to the last time I saw him at the Cool Wheels car show in Deerfield Beach. We always had the best time after the Super Chevy shows at Moroso when we went to their motel on the beach for a cookout. I'm gonna miss that guy, he's just one of those people you like the minute you meet him.

A week or so ago he was feeling a bit nauseous so his son brought over a waste basket for him. Turns out he didn't get sick, but he saw the opportunity for a laugh and turn the basket on his head like a hat...chuckles around. That's just sooo Glenn.

When we would meet up in a nearby parking lot so we could enter and park together at an event , Glenn would show up with a gallon of coffee and these wonderful tasting donuts and sticky buns . Apparently sticky buns are a favorite of people that live up north . We also attended the Super Chevy Shows when they were held in Palm Beach . Glenn and Mignon would invite the group over for a BBQ at their motel and then later at their their home . One year when we drove to Glenn and Mignon`s home , Glenn had mowed the entire front ( large ) yard and he had painted the yard with white lines like it was a parking lot . Well , we had enough El Caminos in the yard that his neighbors and people driving by were stopping to come in and look at the show . Occasionally when people come into my garage at home , see my Camino and some awards , they ask about them . I jokingly take them over to show off my favorite of them all . They laugh when they see the less than 3 inch plastic trophy that Glenn made for everyone and put labels on them . Glenn said he did it cause we are all wieners .
