A smaller group of members is starting to form for the show on Sat. Jan. 25 at Anchorage Park in North Palm Beach . We have attended this show a number of times . Preregistration of $ 15 , forms and info is at www.village-npb.org . The event is on grass , has music , food , raffles etc. . For $ 5 you get to sample all of the different chilies being offered in the cookoff . The time is from 9 am to 12 noon . The address is Anchorage Park , 603 Anchorage Drive , N. Palm beach , Fl. 33408 . Hot Camino is attending and Elkybuick , Whipp 44 and I are also hoping to make it . We usually meet up outside the show , to drive in and park together . Anyone else attending ?

I'll try also. It was a good show in the past
For the next week I will probably not have access to a computer . Last time we attended this show we met up at a place that Whip44 told us about . It worked out fine and was but a short ride to the show in Anchorage Park . Could someone put up the place that is off Northlake Blvd. and ? , and a time for us to meet up and pull out together ? See you there ?

Turns out I won’t be making it to this show either. If anyone is still in the area the morning after, I’ll probably get my Elco out of the garage for Palm Beach Cars and Coffee on the 26th so long as it’s running again by then.

Only 5 Elkys showed up plus Fred with a nice 62 Vette & Scott (not the twisted Irishmen ) with a 69 Camaro . Glenn walked off with another plaque . Neil, Bob (Elky Buick), Lenny , me & Mary & Mignon . Ed we all enjoyed Mary's chocolate chip cookies & coconut chocolate chip cookies . We all ate one for you . The weather was great , no rain , got sunburn on my face , right side only like the Richard Dryfuss in Close Encounters of the 3rd kind . Next up G-ville March 20-21 .

I just KNEW y'all were gonna have cookies and then Neil had to send pictures of them...just to be sure I knew!
The Hot Cars and Chili Cookoff was another fun event . The smaller group was treated to perfectly cool morning weather that warmed to a a comfortable , clear afternoon . Thanks to Mary that had an extra light jacket for me to borrow in the morning . I made out great as I was the chosen one for the extra cookies to take home . Slightly warmed with a different flavor of ice cream each night was a delight ! Congrats to Hot Camino , Glenn for his nice award and Mignon was there enjoying our company . The chili tasting and the live band was a treat .

After the Hot Cars Show , I needed to do some additional things in Palm Beach so I stayed over a few more days . I had been up in Palm Beach for a week already , attended the great Cool Wheels Show and was loking forward to getting home to the Keys . Around the corner from my sisters house my Camino made a pop sound and went dead . Could not figure out what was wrong and it was getting dark , very cold and not a good place to leave my car overnight . Fortunately , I called Neil and he agreed to let me flat bed the 87 to his house and look at it . The next morning Neil was able to find a loose connection going into the HEI Distributor . While there , he also found that my heater core was leaking and had he not replaced the heater core with one he found locally , I would have possibly overheated in Key Largo when I ran into a very slow long road construction delay . Thank goodness for wonderful friends/members like Neil ?
