This part can be found at any junkyard on Malibu's, Tempest's, Buick Century, and Olds Cutlass from 78 to 87. I found one for mine at a local yard for $1.

I'll have to pass. $1 at the junk yard sounds much better.
I'll give you $2.00 shipped.

I have a couple of those in my parts box but if that's all someone's effort plus postage is worth to you then good luck at the junkyard. There should be plenty of them out there. I didn't have any problem finding one when I needed it......Not trying to sound like an ass but I'm just sayin........

No problem.

I have given stuff away free on the forum and sold it on this forum at much reduced prices than I would sell it on ebay for instance. I've even paid postage to send some of the free stuff.

I just figured you could stick it in an envelope and mail it. I suppose I didn't add enough for today's postage rate, though. Sorry if I insulted you.

I wasn't insulted. It was just an observation based on your answer the the offer by the author of post #6.

I removed the broken one and replaced it with the one that I got from Icochino. The original one had the tit that connects to the the cable from the temperature lever broken off.

I drilled a 3/32" hole and screwed in a 2-56 screw with a nut on it. The broken one could now be used.

If anyone needs one, I'll be glad to send this one to you.

Jack
