Looking for a good solid 1967 daily driver, preferably rust free.

Ok a couple of questions, how do you determine a a real SS?
I saw both of these, the gold one claims to be an SS, but console an column shift?
The black and silver one looks good, but for once I want to buy one that I can drive while I do more mods.
There is one in Alice TX that is a Cali car with no rust,also no a/c, supposedly matching #327 with glide, still has AIR pump on it, with clean title. He'll take $6500, its blue on blue.
Where do Ya'll think the money is best spent?
