Hello
Another issue with my green beauty.When tranny is on D or R ,idle revs are 600-700 ,but when changed to P or N ,revs jump up to 1500-1700 .Any idea ?

hey M
check the choke, it may be sticking or may not have power to it..
when the motor is cold 1200- 1500 idle is normal, but it should
kick-down to 750 in D or R after warming up..

the red arrow
check the Fast - Idle lever after its hot, [sometimes its green]
see if it is all the way down.. push it down with a finger..

motor-off ,, when cold
with the throttle open a little-bit, see if the Fast idle
lever is free or not sticking, push it down and it should pop back up..

the blue arrow
see if the vacuum pot arm is pulling in with the motor running..
check the vacuum hoses, check for leaks ..

Steve is asking if the motor is stock or original or
a bigger Cam-Shaft has been added, or any other mods..

Lot's of help as usual..:) To late here to go to the car (11 pm)Will try everything tomorrow.The screw with spring next to the left of red arrow-I was turning it on the very beginning.Could it be a reason?
The engine is a bone stock

I guess yes.At least last attempt,it was three turns.In mean time have checked Your list.Everything OK.Is this bolt so important in my case?
