You'll have to get your professional license when you put that 565 in!
I think you accidently hooked your Texas Instruments calculator from college to Die Hard 12 volt instead of using the 9 volt transformer.

Unless you are using a slide rule. it's still just a 509

I see the plan for Merlin 2.0, just went to plan 2.1.

That is a jump to the Brodix BB2-Extras.

I figured CAlifornia 91 Octane wasn't going to play nice in 13+ compression.

The heads are being port/polished/gasket matched/5 angle valve job/spring upgrade and TD shaft Rockers. might as well do it right once.

Once that's done and we have the flow numbers we can have a custom cam built to match.

This build should net some good torque.

From your Left to right:
Robert, Brad, Dale working on the new 1250 CFM carb and timing.
Changing jets at the track.

Cool pictures. Dale and I think we figured it out my MSD box is going bad. Nothing to do with the engine just electrical. :cool2:

Shear Performance in Costa Mesa tuned my '70 in 2015. I asked for a bench mark on the timing before they changed it. They said it was moving around and not stable. Idle had to be 950 RPM or above. Part of the work that day included removing the blower intake manifold. They then checked the HEI and could see lots of play in the distributor shaft to gears. Changed the HEI and could tune it and idled at 700 RPM. Might be worth a check on your dizzy too.

I just put a new dist. gear and shimmed it .010 yesterday. I'm going to pull the MSD box out of the 69 and see what happens.

Must have been the altenator I changed it back to the 12v. it idles at 700rpm in gear and the fans on. Revving it up sounds clean all motor. I hooked up both my MSD boxes and the motor ran the same. A/F AT 15.1 @ 700RPM
