That is their early model 350 with a 2 piece rear main seal. You've got a 1 piece in yours ride now, and that's what I'd get for it. The 1 piece version is a 290HP model and runs about $2000 with free shipping! Here's the link.

It's a very good deal. My local GM dealer wants almost $2400 for the same motor, my cost. It does vary around the country. I found out Jegs sells more GM crate motors than anybody else period. That's how they can give such great prices. :beer:Thanks that's way I ask first . Is that a great deal or just o.k.?

I got mine from Jeggs, but had the 159.00 shipping shipped it right to the installers place.I thiink mine was $1899.00.
I learned about hidden misc. crap people don't think of like oil, trans fluids, gaskets,anit-freeze got to put all new belts ect.:secret::secret:$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and tax $2000.00 ends up $3000.00That Jegs 350 is a fantastic deal, and you're saving something upwards of $200 just on the shipping. If you get the $1500 one, you may need a different flex plate. Keep in mind you'll need a water pump, intake manifold, and valve covers.
Car Craft did a basic build-up of one last month and got 330 hp out of it with a new cam, thin head gaskets, an intake and carb.
I had the old 2pcseal crate motor in a work truck for about 8 years ( now in a friends impala). Was a good deal , a good engine internally, but damn those 2 pc seals. Definitely spend more for the later 1pc main, roller cam model. They're not hot rod motors, but are factory reliable.
As others have touched on, it,s an unaccessorized long block, so figure a budget for all the misc parts that should be swapped while it's apart. And on those parts, try to get the best ones you can. In 8 years of running the baseline crate 350 in a 9,000 pound work truck , it was items like the chinesequality rebuilt distributor, water pump, STARTERS, & edelbrock carbs that gave trouble, not engine internals.
Another note here,Jegs was out of stock on that engine, Ended up going through Pace Performance.
Don't worry about tax from Jegs. I'm in CA like you and have ordered tons of parts from Jegs, NO TAX! :nanawrench:I learned about hidden misc. crap people don't think of like oil, trans fluids, gaskets,anit-freeze got to put all new belts ect.:secret::secret:$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and tax $2000.00 ends up $3000.00

The deal about free shipping on motors from Jegs..... If the motor is on sale you won't get free shipping. If it isn't on sale they offer free shipping. It comes out about the same either way.
