WELL! Dad has been busy while I have been away. He started working on the center console and surprised me with these shots. Looks to be shaping up nicely. Room for some big honkin' lighted cup holders and USB chargers as well as window and door switches and lots more. It'll leave room for the double Din unit as well.

About one more good day and I'll get to mounting the pods and console. Still have to body work the pods, but need to get some 60 grit for the DA and then skim them with filler.

The 2 sanders i picked up at Harbor Freight today. The mini belt sander is a BEAST! The long board is great too, i just needed a 60 or 80 grit and all they had was 120 and 240.

Those little belt sanders are pretty awesome. I use one daily grinding spot welds out. Sure cuts down on panel removal time as compared to the cutoff wheel method! Looking good!

Got the console completely mounted at the dash and the seat brace. I used 1/4-20 rivnuts at the seat brace, i was only able to bolt trough at the console.
The head unit is located where it will live, still need to make the plexiglass beauty plate to tie the bezel to the console face. Now on to mounting the tweeters!

Started the install of the new power system. First item was new XS Power battery with Knukoceptz ultimate battery terminals. Had to relocate the FAST ignition box back further on the fender which required "fabricating" a new mounting bracket. It's out of my skill set to weld the aluminum so i have to hire that out. My box break won't accept aluminum that thick, so i had to piece it together.

On another note, i won't get around to installing the Mechman 370amp alternator before i have to leave for WORK tomorrow 😫. Stupid bills!

I have really enjoyed watching your progress. This is a beautiful car you are building. I noticed in the picture of the battery that your ac compressor is on the passenger side. Do you happen to know what the AC lines and condenser came on that you used?
