Well finally after a few months of getting schedules coordinated and logistics squared away, My Cruk has finally arrived from Georgia and is resting comfortably in the driveway.

I tried to get as many pictures underneath him while he was on the trailer to see whats underneath and spot any issues. Lot of grime, some mud dauber nests and some Georgia red mud. It'd fit right in if I lived in Oklahoma.

Just by first glance, without even thinking about firing him up, it looks like there might have been an oil leak on the driver side near the exhaust manifold, possible power steering leak as well. Once I get RC all cleaned up, then we can see what were looking at. If you all see anything glaring that I haven't seen yet, let me know. I only spent about 30 min looking over the car once it got off the truck. That will be for another day

Thanks all, Can't wait to get started!

Also, some Simple Green should clean up that engine bay in no time.

think I saw a few minor rust concerns on the bottom there. You should crawl under it and put the big eye on it first chance you get..

other than that, looks good. have fun!

Haven't ran the VIN yet, but it was a one owner Elky. It was my father's, he bought it brand new off the lot. I do have the build sheet and an envelope of maintenance records for it and everything looks to be in the right order. All numbers should be matching. Even have the original key chain with the chevrolet button that can be dropped into a mailbox and the keys would be mailed back to the owner if ever lost.

Thanks KS, I hope its just dried mud. Found some surface rust on the back rear qtr and the piece up by the front windshield wear the wipers sit. Once I give him a good scrubbing down, I'll take a close look at underneath

Looks to be solid. After a few hours of clean up, I think you'll have a very nice Elky.

That's a really nicely optioned one. I'm jealous of the buckets. Was is always a single color? I though SS package was two-tone. I presume it had the air dam when new? I'm also curious what part of my state it was from. When my father was looking to buy a new one in '85, we couldn't find one on a dealer lot so we ordered it. Was yours a special order? Patrick
