Hello,

I have a 1959 El Camino and bought a 2002 LS1 engine and a 2002 Suburban automatic gear. Does anybody have experience with this?

I live in the Netherlands and this very new for me.

I'm looking at starting a similar swap in the next 2 months. I'd recommend checking out the chevelle forum as the camino is based off the 4 door model.

'59 El Camino LS Swap

Hi Mario, I have done a swap similar to what you are doing. Mine is a '59 and I am in the final stages of installing a 2005 5.3 and 4L60E from a Silverado.

I am not an expert, but have learned a lot from experience. Let me know what your specific questions are and I will try to help.
