Just a curious question for the correct type of antifreeze to use for the 1994/ caprice / LT1. i'm using the : NAPA Antifreeze, PN # NAF 1GAL. since i changed out the OEM aluminum core/plastic tank radiator to an all aluminum, would there be a change in the antifreeze i use? i wouldnt think there would be but just wondering if there was another type considering all the different mixtures/additives like:
green or yellow coolants use silicates
orange or pink including DexCool coolants use organic acids

i guess i would need to ask what specifically works best in your opinion in your LT1 (what brand you use)

Is the mixture/additive decided by the MFR. based on any single main component( the reason why they choose that type) like radiator, pump, block, heads?

thanks

1994 Caprice OEM Coolant bottle cap had a green dot , which I guess you would use {green} Prestone type antifreeze. Later Model Caprice's used that DEX-Cool product {Orange in color } . !00,000 mile coolant . Coolant bottle cap had orange dot on top . 50/ 50 Mix in my opinion ...
