Both of them fit in the garage.

Still no paint but thats ok. Taking her to another guy Tuesday. He promises 2 weeks to finish.

The guy that was doing the paint is having serious medical problems related to being a paint guy for 40+ years and was told by his Dr. to QUIT NOW or his chances were only another 18 months to live.

He collapsed in his garage and was carted to the hospital for 5 days of testing then sent to specialists for more tests.

Swelling of the brain, liver/kidneys/lungs contaminated with toulene/benzine.

Yeah these are serious chemicals. Most think it's OK to just wear a respirator but the skin and eyes absorb the fumes too.
Back in the day, we thought masks were for sissies! Sprayed 100's of cars w/o a mask in lacquer as the mask would make your face sweat and water would fall onto the car as it was being sprayed.
There's a reason you don't see too many old bodymen.
Tried that a few times when bc/cc came out and soon found that isocynates(cyanide) quickly affected painters. So then full paint suits, gloves, supplied air respirators, etc., etc.
Even you guys doing things at home need to use precautions. You never know when it's too much until it's too late. You become "iso sensitive". Everyone has different thresholds. Don't be misled by those who say it's all BS.

I am a little disapointed but considering what Tim (the painter) is going through, my problems are trivial.

When I found this other guy, Tim called him and gave him the 3rd degree before giving me his ok to have him finish up.

Hope it all works out. I've never been around paint long enough to have things happen but I can imagine its worse than we all think. I hate using spray paint because its so strong. On a good note,you know you're not endangering the other persons life.:beer:

Misty left again today.

Should be home for good in about 2 weeks.

Saw a neighbor at the show yesterday and he ask me how I liked the 64 compared to the 69.

Told him that when I drove the 69 home it was like a whole different car, really smooth and mild mannered compared to the 64.

He was shocked that I still had it. Hadnt seen it in so long then the 64 appeared.

Update, Misty has paint under the hood, hood jambs and bed.

Paul texted me a couple pics but my phone wont email them to myself for some reason.
