I have a 1965 El Camino, 350 crate motor and original 3-speed manual column shift. Just installed a rebuilt 65 El Camino steering column for automatic and a TH350 transmission.
We're having a problem with the neutral safety switch working now. Also backup lights not working.
From all I've read, it's the same wiring harness and switch for manual and powerglide, so it should be a "plug & play".
Also, for powerglide and TH350, the location for Park, R, N, D & L are the same, only the TH350 has a L1 & L2.
Any suggestions on what I should do next? Switch checks out to be good.
Thanks, Larry in Georgia

I found a 1965 column shift neutral safety switch for TH trans at M&H Electrical Fabricators and sold thru Summitt. I ordered one so we'll see if that fixes the problem

welcome GLB
do you know the screw mount is the adjustment on the NSS ??
loosen the screws and move it left/right
so Park & Neutral line up to the switch points..
some screws are on the back and some are on the sides..

THanks and yes, we tried adjusting it.... just couldn't get all positions to function. But thanks for the reply.
